Umberto D. Another Vittorio De Sica classic! You can't help, but admire his struggle to survive. Also, shot in B/W. CINQUE STELLE.
8 1/2 (Otto e Mezzo). Federico Fellini's classic won the 1963 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. A film about a "film maker" in crisis. A great film, but I feel that it requires several viewings to really appreciate it. Primarily for the serious film buff. Not for someone looking for a superficial light hearted movie. (CINQUE (C) STELLE) - C for "Complex."
